Have you made all your Halloweekend plans yet? If not, we’d love for you and to join us at the Bavarian Inn Lodge Oct 28th and 29th in the Lorelei Lounge for “Boooz & Blues.”Pumpkin and Vines Come casual or feel free to creep into your best costume! Frankenmuth Car Show – Auto Fest 2011

The 28th Annual Frankenmuth Auto Fest Show starts Friday, September 9th with the big Block Party on Main Street.  The car show is also on Saturday and Sunday with more events happening daily. We are so excited here in Frankenmuth and have been preparing for this big event for sometime now. 

A Family Event – A Good Time for All Ages!

Enjoy many activities and attractions for you and your family during this kickin’ Classic Car weekend!

There’s plenty to do with thousands of classic cars and street rods and a kid’s activity area. Frankenmuth River Place has 30 shops and attractions. Main Street is hoppin’ with great shoppes, outstanding dining and pubs. Meet and Greet with Ronald McDonald and his Car touring the Park on Saturday from 11:00am to 12:45pm, followed by a Magic Show in the Satow Pavillion at 1:00pm.

Frankenmuth Volksläufe 2011

The Volksläufe is getting closer and closer according to the race countdown on the website, http://www.volkslaufe.org/.  Known more in English as, “The People’s Race”, the Jaycees of Frankenmuth are proud to bring in the 36th Annual running of the Volksläufe.

Sunday, July 3rd, starts the events for the run.  Starting at 5:00 PM registration is open including a the Beer Garden, Runners Marketplace and Spaghetti Dinner and Inflatables for Kids.  At 7pm there will be live music from “The Bromantics” and “The Shades” and then at approximately 10-10:15 pm (pending sunset) will be the Annual Frankenmuth Fireworks Show!

LET THE RACE BEGIN…….. Monday, July 4th, the real excitement begins. Registration will open from 6-10:30 am.  Pancake Breakfast starts at 7 am and the National Anthem at 7:50 am.  Starting at 8 am begins the Bronner’s 10K start, 8:10am the Frankenmuth Jaycee’s 20K start, 10 am the Bavarian Inn Restaurant’s 5k run, 10:02 am the Bavarian Inn Restaurant’s 5K walk start and at 11 am begins Jaami’s Jams & Jellies 2k Fun Run.  To conclude, the Awards Ceremony for all events will be held at 12:00 noon.  Hope to see you all there!       Click here for the Race Routes

There’s S’no Fest Like Snowfest!

Snowfest is finally here!
January 26 – 31

Come celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Zehnder’s Snowfest!

Snowfest is a fun-filled event for the whole family that replaces your cold chills with cold thrills!

Events and activities include snow sculpting and ice carving competitions, a children’s fun area, a miniature golf ice course, children’s inflatables (located at the Frankenmuth River Place Shops from 12-8 p.m. Friday through Sunday), fireworks (Saturday at 6:45 p.m.), live entertainment, a warming tent and much, much more!  Best of all, it is FREE to view the snow and ice sculptures!

Don’t forget to come to the Bavarian Inn Restaurant for a warming bowl of soup or a hot meal. The Lodge still has overnight rooms available on Thursday, Friday and Sunday - book one and use it for your ‘base’ to visit the Snowfest.
